Simply capture a receipt with your phone. Our AI automatically extracts merchant name, date, amount, line items, and suggests categories. You can review and edit any details before saving.

Can I track vehicle trips for tax deductions?

Absolutely. Enter start and end addresses (Australian addresses only), and Google Maps calculates the distance automatically. Create return trips with one tap. All trips are organized by financial quarter.

What format are the reports in?

Reports are generated as comprehensive PDFs, organized by financial quarter. They include all expenses with receipts, all trips with distances, and are formatted for easy submission to the ATO or your accountant.

Do I need to connect my bank account?

No. Claim Mate works with manual receipt scanning and trip logging. You maintain full control over your data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Claim Mate collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Where Claim Mate may be exempt as a small business operator, we still follow the APPs as a matter of good privacy practice.

Business details, expenses, trip records, and receipt images are uploaded from your device to Claim Mate's backend systems and stored on our servers and supporting cloud infrastructure.

3. Trip Addresses & Financial Data

Claim Mate does not track or collect your device's real-time location.

Trip distances are calculated using the start and end addresses that you manually enter into the app. These addresses are processed by our mapping provider Google Maps (Google LLC) for route and distance calculation.

Financial information such as receipts and expense details is uploaded and stored securely for record-keeping and reporting purposes only.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party providers for:

Payment processing
Receipt OCR and image processing
Cloud hosting and analytics
Authentication (Clerk – Clerk Inc.)
Mapping and address calculation (Google Maps – Google LLC)

Your business data, expenses, trip information, and receipt images are stored on Claim Mate's backend servers and on infrastructure provided by our trusted cloud hosting providers.

We only share data with service providers necessary to operate the app (such as authentication, hosting, mapping, and payment processing) and only to the extent required for those services to function.
